Evacuation at sea takes more than printed instructions. It requires clarity, precision, and a calm mindset. That’s why PT PELNI, Indonesia’s national shipping company, teamed up with Losmunos Studio and Latrust to produce a detailed marine evacuation system animation. This video helps guide passengers and crew through each step using clear, visual storytelling.
First, we created a 3D animation that clearly maps the Marine Evacuation System. From the alarm to disembarkation, each scene highlights key steps, such as reaching muster points, wearing flotation devices, and boarding lifeboats, making the process easy to follow.
By showing how the alarm sounds, how crew members guide passengers, and how the slides and lifeboats function, the video builds a clear mental picture. Transitions between each scene are smooth and intuitive, reinforcing both the urgency and safety of each step.
To ensure accuracy, we began by studying actual vessel layouts and procedures. We recreated ship interiors with realistic dimensions, materials, and evacuation tools. Even the uniforms and equipment used by characters reflect PELNI’s operational standards.
Characters were designed to be friendly and professional, while gear like safety harnesses and life vests was animated with believable function.
We used a clean, highly visible color palette to highlight key safety zones and equipment.
This marine evacuation system animation now serves as an effective safety induction tool. It helps passengers understand evacuation protocol visually—faster and with more clarity than printed manuals or spoken briefings.
